PM�s gift to devotees-Katra-Udhampur rail line Narendra Modi�s one of the Prime Ministerial agendas prior to becoming PM was the introduction of high speed corridors and bullet trains,one of the things needed for the development of a region. PM, Narendra Modi flagged off the train from Katra in Jammu,the base of Vaishno Devi shrine.Train has been named as Shree shakti Express. Katra Udhampur rail line is around 25km long.There are 8 tunnels and 29minor bridges on udhampur-Katra track. This rail connectivity is one of the steps taken towards the development of the region as this will boost tourism and will ensure better connectivity of Jammu with the other parts of India. Govt�s move to promote RuPay debit cards The Govt has asked State owned banks to issue RuPay debit cards to customers. Govt has urged the CEOs pf Public sector banks to issue RuPay cards to all existing customers who don�t have debit cards as well as to new customers soon after they open bank account. RuPay was launched by National Payment Corporation Of India.
