The 58th Annual Grammy Awards were announced by the Recording Academy announced at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony has recognized the best recordings, compositions and artists in the eligibility year, which was from October 2014, to September 2015. Winners are Category Best album of the year- 1989- Taylor Swift Best record of the year- Uptown Funk- Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars Best song of the year- Thinking Out Loud- Ed Sheeran & Amy Wadge Best new artist – Meghan Trainor Children’s Album-Home Tim Kubart Best Pop solo performance - Thinking Out Loud- Ed Sheeran Best Pop Duo/Group Performance - Uptown Funk- Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars About Grammy Awards: Grammy Awards are the recording industry’s most prestigious award presented annually by National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS) of the United States. The first Grammy Awards ceremony was held on 4 May 1959 and originally were called Gramophone Awards, They are awarded to artists and technical professionals for their outstanding achievements in the music industry. These awards are presented to recipients at the annual presentation ceremony which features performances by prominent artists and the presentation of those awards that have a more popular interest.
