Meghalaya gets 15th Governor

Senior BJP leader V Shanmuganathan, who was sworn in as the 15th Governor of Meghalaya on 20 May, said that he would be working for total development of the State. Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court Uma Nath Singh administered the oath of office to Shanmuganathan at a solemn ceremony attended by the Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues and other dignitaries. A post-graduate gold medalist in Political Science, Shanmuganathan is a prolific writer and has written three books. Source: Shillong Times
